YOUR CAREER. YOUR INFORMATION.

Understand where your resume information goes.

CareerLift is a browser-based resume builder and file checker. The distinction between resume processing and optional website measurement matters, especially when a document contains personal information.

Open the resume builder

Resume editing and file checks happen in your browser

The resume builder, writing checks, keyword comparison, PDF preparation, DOCX export, and TXT export run on your device. Existing PDF, DOCX, and TXT files are read locally. The checker does not upload those files or their extracted text to a checking server or external AI service.

The website downloads its application code, fonts, and document-reading libraries from this site. Local processing does not mean the site works without an internet connection on every first visit.

Saved builder drafts and uploaded files are different

Builder drafts are saved in local browser storage when it is available. They remain associated with this browser profile and device. Someone else using the same profile may be able to open the draft, and clearing browser data can remove it.

An uploaded resume and its checker results are kept in the tab’s memory, separately from the saved builder draft. Uploading a file does not replace your draft. Removing the uploaded file or refreshing the page clears that checker workspace.

Downloads are personal documents

A resume export contains the information you entered. A JSON draft backup also includes target job notes and settings, so keep it somewhere private. A checker report lists findings and suggested fixes; it does not reproduce the complete uploaded resume.

CareerLift cannot remove a copy after you have downloaded, emailed, shared, or submitted it elsewhere. Review each destination before sending personal information.

Optional Google Analytics measurement

Google Analytics 4 is optional. Google’s measurement script loads only after you opt in through the analytics controls. It can measure page use with pseudonymous usage identifiers and cookies and may derive approximate geography from technical request information. This is not a promise of anonymity. Google processes that measurement data under its own privacy policy.

The analytics cookies are limited to resume.dhebe.com. Your choice is remembered in local browser storage. Resume text, file names, uploaded file contents, contact fields, job descriptions, and individual keyword lists are not sent as analytics event data. Advertising personalization is disabled.

You can change or withdraw consent using Analytics preferences in the footer. Rejecting optional measurement does not prevent you from creating a resume, checking a file, or exporting a document.

External links and hosting

The guide links to third-party resources such as university career services and applicant-tracking-system documentation. Their own privacy practices apply when you follow those links.

The hosting provider necessarily receives normal web requests to serve the website. This can include technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, and the requested page. It does not give the host the contents of locally processed resume files.

Ways to keep control

  • Use a browser profile you trust, especially on a shared computer.
  • Download a private draft backup before clearing browser data or moving devices.
  • Use Start fresh to replace the saved builder draft with an empty one when appropriate.
  • Remove an uploaded resume from the checker after reviewing it.
  • Inspect the exact document before sending it to an employer or another service.
